Troubleshooting Tips
Widget is blank on fresh install?
When you install the app for the very first time, iOS WidgetKit requires initial weather telemetry to be cached. Simply open the Halcyon Forecast app once, allow location access, then re-add your widget. It will render immediately!
How often do widgets refresh?
iOS schedules widget updates based on battery and active usage, typically updating every 15–30 minutes with live radar and weather telemetry.
What is the privacy policy?
Halcyon Forecast does not collect, track, or sell your personal data. Location access is only used on-device to query local weather conditions and is never stored on external servers.
How do I request a custom retro widget?
Use the feedback form above! We are regularly designing new skeuomorphic clocks, classic CRT weather strips, and retro desktop widgets based on user requests.
